Our Services
Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a detailed assessment of the condition of your electrical installations. Whether you’re a homeowner looking for peace of mind, a landlord needing to comply with legal obligations, or simply wanting to check your home’s electrical safety, we provide EICR services to identify any issues or areas of concern.
Our electricians will carry out a thorough inspection of your property’s wiring, fuse box, switches, sockets, and other electrical components to assess their safety and functionality. Following the inspection, we’ll provide you with a detailed report that highlights any defects or non-compliance with safety standards. If needed, we can offer advice on the necessary repairs or upgrades.
Periodic Inspections and Testing
Regular inspections and testing are vital to maintaining the safety and efficiency of your home’s electrical system. We offer periodic inspection and testing services to identify any wear and tear, outdated installations, or potential risks. Our team will assess all aspects of your electrical system, ensuring everything is working as it should and in compliance with safety regulations.
We recommend that homeowners have their electrical systems tested at least every 10 years, or more frequently if they notice any issues or have had electrical work carried out. For landlords, it is now a legal requirement to ensure an EICR is carried out every 5 years.
PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing)
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the process of testing electrical appliances in your home to ensure they are safe to use. This includes items such as kettles, toasters, washing machines, and other household electrical equipment. While not a legal requirement for most domestic homes, it’s a good practice to check your appliances regularly to prevent potential electrical hazards.
Fault Finding & Repairs
If you’ve noticed flickering lights, tripping circuits, or appliances that aren’t working as they should, our fault-finding services can help. We offer quick and efficient diagnostics to identify electrical issues in your home and provide expert repairs to restore your system to full functionality. Our team can handle everything from minor faults to more serious electrical issues, ensuring that your home is safe and fully operational.
Upgrades & Rewiring
In older properties, electrical systems can become outdated and may no longer meet modern demands. If your home’s electrics are in need of an upgrade or full rewire, BSE|Home can help. We offer complete rewire services and upgrades to ensure your electrical system is efficient, safe, and ready for the demands of modern life.
